Contemporary Art, Abstract Landscape “Farmland" by Santa Fe Contemporary Artist Sandra Duran Wilson

This painting reminds me of driving across the farmlands of the Midwest. The colors and textures of the land change with the time of day. Maybe being from the mountains instills a fascination with the very level land. This piece is built up layers of paint and mediums. I have created furrows in the gels and planted paint. There is also gold and copper leaf along with a clay flower that has been emblazoned with resin fragments.
